Dr. Carmen Banks, PhD is a scientist, entrepreneur, and the founder of MelanInScience, an organization dedicated to increasing Black and Brown representation in STEM through mentorship, industry exposure, and professional development. She holds a Ph.D. in Animal Biology and has over a decade of experience across biotech, pharma, and cultivated meat startups, where she has contributed to multiple patents and led teams in genome engineering and cell line development.
